soundwave:

first of all it was effin amazing!. we got there a 9:30am, and waited in line till 12. and we FINALLY got inside and ran straight to stage 2, when we eventually found it!, and we got right on the bar right in the very middle, and we watched Trial Kennedy, who are actually really good i liked them. Half way through their set John Keef was spotted in the background, and we where screaming. and then Trial kennedy finished, and then Halifax came on stage 1, they where good as well, but we just wanted boys like girls to get on stage. and during there set, we saw paul and bryan and stuff, and then i was watching them and a HUGE SLAP hit me on the arm and bridget and kathleen where pointing and screaming MARTIN, and i saw saw the top of his head in the background. Halifax where good, and they dedicated there last song to us boys like girls fans, because we kept groaning evertime he introduced a new song.

boys like girls set finally arrived and there i was right infront of martin freaking johnson. He started to sing, and you couldnt hear him because he was being drowned out by the crowd to freaking much, During Hero/Heroine, we gave him the Australian flag we had made for them, and he held it up in the air and so forth.

there set was amazing, they are soo good live,Martin looked at me and smiled while he sung a verse of hero/heroine, we where screaming so loud and it was amazing, and then he went and got the flag again and held it up and said

" i read about this flag on the net about a week ago, and ive been so excited for it ever since" and me kathleen and bridget started screaming our heads off. and martin smiled at us, and pointed to us and said " did you make it" and we like nodded and shiiit.

after boys like girls we went to see all time low, where the barrier broke in half, it was funny, there crazy guys obsessed with making out with Aussies and what not.

then we went to cartel, they where sooo good

and we spotted Bryan Freaking Donahue walking around, so we went and spoke to him asked him if he liked the flag,which he did, and got a photo = ] and then when he started to walk off we screamed "HAPPY BIRTHDAY" at him, and he turned around and laughed.

then we went to see more bands and i had told myself that boys like girls had gone home, and then during Motion City kathleen came and found me and said Marney and others had just met martin he was standing there watching Motion City Soundtrack, like singing along and stuff, so we went looking for him, and FINALLY found him, but he was in the band only area, and we waited for him for like an hour,he was talking, and kept playing footy and stuff and then he finally came down, and i started walking towards him, and he smiled (i think he remembered us from the mosh pit) and this was our conversation:

*wraps his arm around me*

me: hey martin, do you like the flag?

martin: i f***ing love it *pulls me closer*

me: yay! it took us so long

kathleen: yeah it took us like 3 days to write

martin *hugs me*

*other fans asking for photos/autographs*

*martin continues talking to us*

Martin: yeah we should be back with our own headlinign show soon, ect ect, talking about how amazing today was ect.

and then he was like

" i saw the flag on livejournal. like a week ago and i was really excited for it, but we didnt know what city it was all happening in and stuff, its in my backpack its going on my bedroom wall"

and then me bridget and kathleen got photos with him

and then we went to see Incubus which was so f***ing amazing,and we got like raped against the fence, but people pushing past

then the offspring, which basically speaks for itself.we where down near the mosh dancing around like idiots.

and then we went over to the matches, but we never got to the matches we got sidetracked by jayde and quinn. they are the funniest people EVER. we found sam chloe and eva and like told them about boys like girls and we started walking to the car, and we saw this guy get pepper sprayed, it was pretty funny.

we got to the car, and we where all in the car talking about soundwave, going through our camera's ect, and and then i fell asleep, and then we got to cremorne maccas but they didnt let us in, by this stage i was about to wet my pants, i hadnt pee'd since 7:30 in the morning, and we FINALLY got to brookie macca's and i realised how sunburnt i was, jeez.

we ate food., and finally all got home. i put my soundwave pictures on my computer and put a few on my memory card to get printed the next day. and went to bed.

SUNRISE:

on the monday after soundwave, emma offered to drive me to school, so i was sitting there watching sunrise, and it was like TOMOROW ON SUNRISE, WHAT IS TOO SEXY FOR THE WORKPLACE, and then netx thing i know BAM MARTIN JOHNSON APPEARS ON SCREEN and the voice over was like "boston pop punk band boys like girls live in the studio" and it didnt really click in my head and like 5 minutes later i waslike OH MY GOD

so on tuesday morning me, bridget and emma went to sunrise to see boys like girls, we got there and we saw johnny out the front having a [slur deleted], and when he was us walking up to him, he put the cigarette away, and then we spoke to him, and he was like
John: im so tired, do i look tired

everyone else: turns away

me: yep!

and then he walked off to smoke, and then Bryan came out to smoke,

and then Amy Zang came.

and we waited around for a bit, and they where all at the bottom of the stairs and Bryan and John waved at us, and martin was going through his bag, and finally they where playing, so we went around the side so we could see them and they where like warming up, and paul saw us and waved, and we all waved back like idiots,

and then Martin saw us, and waved and then like looked up again and pointed to kathleen, and then the front of his shirt (she was wearing a blg shirt, and he was like yay shirt) and when he mouthed the word FLAG and pointed to us, and we all nodded and he made a love heart with his hands and then pointed to me,i was like OH MY GOOOOD

and they sung the great escape and we where walking back around to the front entrance and martin looked at us, so i waved him over to the window and he was like

*mouths* ill come outside and pointed outside.

and then they went to get all there stuff from upstairs and came outside

John, Bryan and Paul all came out and where like HEY GUYS and like got photos and what not spoke to people, we where talking to john and we where like "where you nervous" and he was like"not really" and we where like" i would be like the whole of australia watches sunrise" and then i asked for a photo and he was like "ofcourse thats why you came"
and stuff and then Martin like.. walked into the glass door, and we where all like " we saw that"

and then he like ran down the stairs and pulled all of us "flag girls" into a huuge hug, and everyone else there was like glaring at us and stuff, and we got photos with him and stuff, and i got him to sign this photo i took of him with the australian flag on sunday, and he was like WOAH I LIKE THIS PHOTO, do you have the original to it, i was like.. uhh yeah at home, and hes like can you send it to me, like on myspace.

and yeah.

i freaking love boys like girls.

ive heard rumours of Martin being a complete a**hole, who ever started those rumours, your such a loser!

it was amazing, being remembered by one of your favourite bands.

being remembered by one of your heroes

making them something that they loved, and wanted to keep.

all in all it was freaking amazing!

the sunburn i had,everyone who's seen it knows how bad it was, was so worth it for how amazing these few days where!
