Have you ever had one of those days where you're in a room filled with sweaty, greasy teenagers? You've just been spat on? Your lovely clean hair has just had beer poured all over it? Your feet hurt? You're sweating buckets? You've just travelled on the tube for an hour and come out into a slushy Camden?
...In theory this is a bad time. But, throw in some Boys Like Girls- Martin Johnson, Paul DeGiovanni, Bryan Donahue and John Keefe; flashing lights; unbelievably beautiful music. IT IS THE GREAT ESCAPE! You've thrown your head back and are now singing louder than you ever thought possible. All those disgusting and painful things have disappeared. It's nothing but you, the band and the music. The only problem now is that you're so extatic you can barely breath and you know that this is the rarest feeling in the world.
The greatest accident of my life was the day I stumbled across them on Limewire when looking for 'Thunder only happens when it's raining- Fleetwood Mac'. Clearly, it was a demo of Thunder which sparked my obsession. But that's all it took- one song.
I love this band because they never fail to make me smile, sing, dance, happy. Their first album kept me going for 3 years before I finally got to see them break England and Love Drunk has been played to me daily since September 7th. A band who can not fail to impress you and keep you entertained has sure got to be worth your time!
I don't drink, do drugs, smoke or pimp myself out. All I need are these guys.
